Hi [EMPLOYER NAME],
Did you know that one of the greatest barriers to voting is having to choose between going to work or going to the polls? In fact, work keeps twice as many black and brown voters from the polls as white voters.
I believe that every vote matters and that no one should have to choose between voting and earning paycheck. As one of your employees, I’m writing to see if [COMPANY] would be part of the solution by providing paid time off to vote for all employees, including hourly workers.
After all, how often do you get a chance to help create a more fair election?
And if you want to take a bigger stand, visit BlackOutTheVote.org to learn about what other companies are doing to show support and solidarity for their black, latinx, and indigenous employees.
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
